INTERNATIONAL EXPO
The International Club at Central Michigan University is proud to host
its annual International Expo each spring in the Bovee University
Center’s Rotunda. International Expo is a celebration of the many
cultures, countries and people represented at Central Michigan
University. There are currently more than 400 international students and
scholars from almost 60 countries at CMU. Throughout the Expo, they
present displays, music and cultural performances from their home
countries. In addition, a food tasting of traditional items from
selected countries is featured. Each year CMU students, faculty and
staff, along with members of community and local school children have
enjoyed International Expo.
International Expo 2008 will feature displays from over 30 countries
present on our campus. Visitors enjoyed meeting the international
students and learning about the variety of cultures represented.
Highlights of previous Expos have included a display of Japanese
traditional martial arts and folk dance performances from Africa, Saudi Arabia
and Jamaica.
